My Grandma passed away

I will not be posting for awhile, at least this weekend. My grandmother lost her short battle with cancer last night. I do want to share that yesterday afternoon in her sleep she was talking to her Lord and she said "Im ready to go I just didnt think you would come for me so soon". This really touched  my heart and affirmed my belief that Jesus does in fact come to comfort his people as our flesh die and our souls are ushered into eternal light with him.
She was diagnosed with cancer just 6 weeks ago, and went downhill so fast that no one really had time to prepare for this. But given the time, do we ever really "get prepared" to lose someone we love?
I do ask special prayer for me as I will see my mother for the first time in 3 years tomorrow. I am scared and nervous and cant help but to think that maybe God has set up this oppurtunity in order to answer my prayers to return her to my life? The problem is I dont know what to say,how to act, or how to even begin to build a relationship back with her. Please pray that God softens her heart as well towards me tomorrow and that his will be done. Thank you for your thoughts and prayers. God Bless

  1. Tara.. my condolences on your loss. I want to say that I do believe that God sends someone.. angel, saint, the mother of Jesus..or Jesus Himself.. to take us home.

My own dad passed away from cancer too and let me tell you, it is a blessing that your grandma didn't linger to suffer. When he died, we were all at his bedside and saw him smiling lovingly into the distance with eyes that no longer saw us. We felt so at peace, knowing without a doubt that he was seeing someone beautiful come to take him home.

I will most definitely offer up your prayer request as I go before the throne of God tomorrow. Friday is my special day of fasting and prayer. Have courage.. your God goes before you to prepare the way.

    Love & Blessings
